Responsibilities

• Board leadership — presiding over board meetings and guiding strategic discussions
• Governance — participating in board decisions on foundation policy, budget, and strategic priorities
• Community leadership — representing the interests of GNOME contributors, users, and the broader ecosystem
• Fundraising & sustainability — supporting the foundation’s financial health through fundraising initiatives and donor relations
• Advocacy — promoting GNOME and free software at conferences, in the press, and across the open source ecosystem
• Community health — helping shape programs that support contributors, engagement, and inclusivity
